Structured but robotic, interviewer gave no expressions, felt like an interrogation rather than a conversation. The questions were basic and the interview lasted an hour or so. Overall the process was smooth

Question 1
- What are your responsibilities as an associate - Tell us about a situation in which you managed a difficult colleague - Tell us about a time where you got constructive criticism
I applied through university. I interviewed at AlphaSights
Interview
First had to fill out a questionnaire answering multiple questions in paragraph format. The first interview was typical, however the person that interviewed me was a bit rude and seemed like they didn't want anything to do with me. The second round of interviews was a case study. It was pretty straight forward. The person who interviewed me was very kind and encouraging.

Question 1
Why are you are pursuing this opportunity and how does it fit with your career plan?
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at AlphaSights
Interview
After being grilled on the BREAD process, proving myself in a roleplay scenario, being grilled again on my work ethic, background, past experiences, possible weak points, I reached the final interview with a VP who clearly thought highly of themselves and was unapologetic about the cutthroat grind that is apparently all NYC jobs. Unless you're in love with NYC, go work somewhere else and make better money for less work proportional to your living costs.
