I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at AlphaBrook (Springfield, VA) in Mar 2020
Interview
I applied online. After being asked what my salary requirements were through email, I talked with someone on the phone about the position and my experience. I was then given a one-way interview. After that, I followed-up with a question about a hiring timeline. That email was answered. A couple weeks went by, and I heard nothing from the company. So, I decided to contact them again asking if I'm still a candidate. I got no response. I waited another week, emailed, and got no response. I emailed probably four or five times with no response. These were professional emails and spaced out in a timely fashion. This company likes to waste your time. They will ghost you. Applicants need to just ignore trash companies like this.

Interview
The first step was a one-way video interview. You have unlimited time and takes to answer the questions. I passed this stage, and got to the next step in the interview process. This was a two-part test. First, a super easy typing test.
Next, they have you roleplay a scenario in which you have a certain amount of time to research a government contract (sort of) online, and call someone (who is actually at AlphaBrook) who roleplays as a government official with information about the contract. You do not have anyone watching you putting pressure on you during this time. The interviewer leaves and you send in the report as an email.
Sadly, I made a major error in my researching process that forced me to re-write my report on the contract almost entirely right at the end of the time given, so while I don't actually know for sure I will be rejected I have to assume I will be based on the poor quality of my report.
Still, that's my fault. I actually thought this was a fantastic interview process. The first part gives the candidates the opportunity to really thoughtfully answer questions. The second part gives you a realistic sense of what the job will actually be like.
The interviewer was casual and super laid back. I don't understand why other reviewers are knocking AlphaBrook for this. I appreciated it. This is an up and coming tech company. Don't expect everyone to be a stuffy- business person.
Overall, I really enjoyed this process. Disappointed I messed up with my report because I would have liked to work here.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The first interview is one way. You are given the questions and have unlimited time and takes to answer. The second interview involves a typing test and roleplay and no questions.
Two hour interview with a mock case test, typing test, and interview which all went extremely smoothly as everyone is friendly and laid back. The CEO of the company did unexpectedly join my interview which made me feel how small the company really is.

Interview
I did a one-way video interview where I answered fairly standard questions about my personality and skills, including whether I'd feel comfortable interviewing people. I was never contacted after that initial video interview.
