A good experience. Very friendly process and had help all the way. No pressure during the interview. Everyone was extremely approachable and had a good experience overall. The employees are available and willing to help at every step of the way.
I applied through university. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Alpha Alternatives (Mumbai) in Dec 2019
Interview
the first round was basic quantitative ability, similar to ones you find in tests like CAT. 35 questions in 10 minutes, with bonus points for solving it faster. 2nd round was also on math, but more of a deriving results from charts type and a few logical reasoning questions. then the interview was in 2 parts, one technical which included basic questions on data structures, C++/Python etc. and the HR round was the general why do you want to work here, are you open to so and so working hours, and a few questions about my experience leading college committees (which was in my resume).

I applied online. I interviewed at Alpha Alternatives (Mumbai) in Oct 2019
Interview
The interviewer was extremely rude and judgemental. He didn’t ask me any questions on equity derivatives or the knowledge I possessed and was much rather judging me for the other things.
He had the guts to tell me that if I haven’t traded because my father handles the finances then why do I need to earn if my father is earning and that I should sit at home. It was extremely distasteful and uncalled for. I should’ve given it back to him at the same time but I couldn’t because I was taken aback by his words. At one point during the interview he even increased his pitch to intimidate me and I feel ashamed that I acutally did get intimidated.
The way he was behaving and constantly smirking slyly was like he was doing me a favour by taking my interview . It was extremely unprofessional and made me uncomfortable to a point I wanted to get out of there as soon as I could post which I broke down because I had never felt so humiliated in my entire life.
The JD clearly mentioned that they wanted someone with 0 to 2 years of work experience and no where in my CV did i lie about having any experience in trading. They still asked me to come in for an interview and tried to humiliated me with distasteful remarks and snide comments and smiles. The interviewer was highly unprofessional and extremely full of himself.
The only key take away I have from the interview is I know how I am going to deal with snooty interviewers like that man next time and teach him a lesson so he/she doesn't do it again. No one deserves to be treated this way and definitely not from people with "supposed" positions of power.
