I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Allstate (Charlotte, NC) in Jan 2011
Interview
had an interview with a recruiter on the phone and then an on-site interview with 2 management. process didnt take long from start to finish but there was a delay before the job offer. I feel like the manager spent a lot of time...studying... me to see how i answered things. I think they cared a lot about how I answered instead of what the actual answer was, which I guess works for customer service.

recruiter asked basic questions on the phone about customer service and working with others. basic questions if you ever interviewed for a job before...very similar to other call center jobs.
It was a standard behavior based interview. The STAR method is used, and there is about 4-5 questions. There is an initial basic interview where you record your answer and submit it.
