The recruiter emailed me for a phone screen as the first step. She instructed me to sign-in to a 3rd party tool, within the next 2 days, to access her pre-recorded questions and record my answers there! Now, isn't this absurd? Since she had to spend the time to listen to my recordings, why not just talk to me directly? (I wouldn't want to work for a company that is unwilling to dedicate 20 minutes of their time to me.) It's no surprise I never heard back from the recruiter (although she should have been professional enough to send me a rejection email) because I had problems figuring out this 3rd party tool which affected my performance. It didn't allow me to re-record my answers or play them back. You get just one shot, and that was not made clear in the email instructions or on the 3rd party tool website.
