60 minute phone call with the hiring manager. Seemed to go well. Standard conversation about my skills and experience, the job offered, and some questions about how I handle certain situations as a PM. She told me that she'd like to move forward and would get back to me in a week to schedule an onsite. But no....
Since she had no direct phone number on her signature, I was forced to only reach out via email. I did this each of the next 4 weeks after the week had elapsed with short, friendly requests for an update. Crickets.
Why would you have no direct telephone number in your signature. Do you really not want people to reach you? Why would that be? It seems like a fairly important element of your role as both a PM and a hiring manager. You are either lazy or insolent. Probably both.
She did finally send a vague email about finishing her round of candidate interviews, implying that I was not to proceed further. But not stating it as fact. When I asked for clarification, she again ignored my polite emails.
I dunno. Maybe she was going through a rough time. But seriously, don't candidates deserve better?
