I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Alion (Washington, DC) in Jul 2017
Interview
I applied online. The process was fast. The talent acquisition team called me one week after the submission of my application. They were very thorough and informative. They always asked me if I had any questions through out our phone interactions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
My initial phone interview lasted approximately 15 minutes. I was asked about my previous experience and how it would relate to the position I applied for. I would advise anyone to take notes of the job description and be prepared to relay your past positions to it. My one on one interview at Alion was great. It was held in a small conference room with plenty of windows and it lasted approximately 1 hour. It set the tone for a relaxing experience. Be prepared to answer questions about your resume. I was expecting to be asked more technical questions relating to the position. Overall the interview experience was great. I left there feeling like I wanted to be apart of the company.
We love hearing stories of success when it comes to team work. Happy team members, referring friends and former colleagues make a stronger team! Thank you for joining the Alion team!

Application
I applied online. I interviewed at Alion (Washington, DC) in May 2017
Interview
More of a conversation than interview. Relaxed, to the point. More about experience fit than anything else. Phone screen was first then one-on-one with project manager. HR handed phone screen and scheduling. Face to face interview in corporate office was with in one week of phone interview. I had the impression that was a little faster than they normally work. Good vibe in office. Over all very positive experience.

Question 1
Questions where about my experience and approach to the specifics of the position. I was able to ask many questions to expand on job description, structure of the team, etc. Phone screen was first and then one on one with project manager. Good benefits, HR was very helpful. Project manager was very personable. Company was flexible on working hours. Solid package of benefits and staring offer. Only reason I declined offer was I could not talk my family into moving (not Alion's issue). Would reapply if a position opened up closer to where I live.
Relocating a family is definitely a tough decision, and one we support no matter the outcome. Please continue to browse our website for positions closer to your home. We thank you for considering our organization.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Alion (Alexandria, VA) in Feb 2012
Interview
Quick process from start to finish. Started with HR email and then follow-up phone interview a week or so later. In person after that and brought on board a month later.
