I applied online. I interviewed at Align Technology in May 2017
Interview
I was first contacted by someone in HR within a day of submitting my resume. We had a quick conversation about the job and my qualifications which went well. I was asked to amend my resume to include some of the nitty gritty details we'd discussed for the hiring manager which I found odd but complied with. Following that I had a telephone conversation with the hiring manager. Overall, that went very well and I felt that our personalities meshed very well. However, the hiring manager asked very few questions and really just answered mine. Again, that felt a bit odd but I assumed there might be more questions for me in the coming interview. Align flew me out to meet with hiring manager and paid for my hotel. I was quite excited by the opportunity and looked forward to the interview. However, what was supposed to be a full hour interview barely lasted 30 minutes. The first person I met with coached me on how I should present myself to the hiring manager which was bizarre. The hiring manager, again, had almost no actual questions for me. The third person I met with felt as though they were trying to intimidate me with the role expectations. Overall, it was one of the oddest interview experiences I've ever had. Everyone seemed as though they were completely unprepared; I was apparently the only one who came with questions. Half of which I didn't even ask. Two days later I received a form rejection for my efforts.
Phone call with recruiter one day after application submitted. Other then that I don’t know the process b/c I declined to move forward. Seemed like an eager recruitment process but not for me- read below.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Cocky recruiter, seemed rushed and asked basic questions. Salary WAY low so I declined to move forward. Good luck finding great work with that low salary range!
