I had high hopes after applying to this recruiting agency, as the recruiter reached out almost immediately and seemed genuinely enthusiastic during our initial conversation. Unfortunately, that promising start quickly turned into a frustrating experience. After the initial phone call, I received no follow-up communication, updates, or feedback, despite multiple attempts to check in...I was ghosted, which you read about happening so many times on LinkedIn and the other boards. Add this company to the list. Alchemy recruiters, and possibly their leadership team, seem unable or unwilling to have direct or critical conversations; their fear of difficult conversations undermines their credibility as a legitimate business. It's disappointing to see such a lack of professionalism in the recruiting process. A more structured and communicative candidate experience would go a long way. Providing timely updates, even if a candidate is not moving forward, shows basic respect and reflects stronger talent acquisition skills. This highlights Alchemy’s own need to invest in better recruiting talent that can model the professionalism they presumably seek in candidates.
