Alamance Community College interview questions

The interview process went well. One screening phone call with HR. Then one in-person interview with a solo interview and then group. What bothered me the most was that during the HR screening they disclosed the salary range (as well as in the job posting). Despite me surpassing the level of education/degree requirements and the direct job experience/ years of service, the job offer didn’t even go up to half that range. I worked in the same type of office in the position below the one I was applying for a similar salary. This would’ve been a promotion in title for me but with way more work and less resources being at a community college versus a 4-year. They wouldn’t budge on salary despite the range they offered at the start.
