I applied online. I interviewed at Aksia
It's a lengthy process, but they get a lot of applicants and only take a few people for each program nationally, so I guess the length makes sense. I did a first round with screening with HR- highly recommend using this interview to really understand the firm. General Tips: 1. Don't show up without having done some sort of research in advance. It's a research firm, they care if you've demonstrated some sort of effort. 2. It's ok not to really understand the company, especially in early stages, but they will expect you to gain a more accurate understanding by the second round- if anything isn't clear, ask them more questions. Better to spend more time making sure you have an accurate understanding than to be embarrassed in a final round with MDs or Partners. 3. Have questions beyond "what's you culture" (which is fair to ask but don't let it be the only q you have. Their research teams are basically investigating hedge funds, PE funds, PC, etc. and a big part of the job is asking thoughtful questions, so make sure to demonstrate your aptitude in the interview.
- What is your understanding of what we do? What is an alternative investment? Why might an institutional investor look to invest in alts? Basic finance/econ questions and/or questions about current events (fed, treasury, etc)

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Aksia (Athens, Attica) in Nov 2022
firstly interview with a member of the HR then an excel test based on the knowledge required for the role applied after that a final interview with two members of the team
- tell me about your studies what modules interested you the most during your degree

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Aksia (New York, NY) in Nov 2022
Three rounds. The first round is with someone from HR, general questions, the usual. The second round is a live written test (screen shared) about a topic you won't know in advance. They do it to evaluate your writing skills. Then I got invited for a third round in person at their office, but they never confirmed an official date. I sent two emails asking for clarifications, and only 45 days later, I was told they had an issue on their end. So I got invited again for a third round but, once again, they never confirmed any date. The HR department is composed of a bunch of incompetents.
- What type of metrics would you look at to evaluate a hedge fund?

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Aksia (New York, NY) in Oct 2022
Applied online. Met first with a member of HR, then the hiring manager, had an excel and writing exercise, then met with the partner who oversees the team. They were kind enough to speed the process up for me, so this all occurred within 2 weeks. Overall it was a positive experience with nice people.
- Pretty standard questions: describe your work experience, understanding of alternative assets, typical pain points of working with certain clients, etc. Nothing atypical. There is also a timed excel and writing exercise at some point in the process.

I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Aksia in Sept 2022
1st round with HR 2nd round with 2-3 people from IR team and writing test 3rd round in office with partners I think the interview process was pretty behavioral. The asked some soft technical questions throughout the process. I had an offer at another firm and communicated that to them. The other offer was at top bank but I really enjoyed the culture at Aksia and felt “sold” in that regard. I was interested in seeing what kind of offer the firm would make me. They told me that they would get back to me quickly after my final interview. They ghosted me and did not respond to my emails. I never heard from them again. I was stunned but felt happy that I dodged a bullet. I hope my experience helps anyone in a similar situation.
- What is a hedge fund? What is the fed? What is alpha? What is delta?

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Aksia (New York, NY) in Sept 2022
I had an on campus interview, and then the next round was at their headquarters in New York. In that round there were four interviews and a writing test. Everyone was very kind and I was reimbursed for everything.
- They asked what kind of questions I would ask hedge fund managers and how I would evaluate them.

I applied online. I interviewed at Aksia
it started with HR screening phone call. functional interview was scheduled. that was zoom. they did not convey anything after that. reached out to them via email. But did not get response. SO i assume that it was a no. but typically they also have written test.
- about you. What do you think of macro managers

I interviewed at Aksia
Round 1 is an interview with HR and a writing test Round 2 is team interviews plus a case study The final round is 1-2 senior level interviews. Overall it was informative, you get to know the personalities and it's useful to know what you're walking into.
- Some interviewers asked brain teasers or situational questions, others were more focused on your understanding of their business/role

I interviewed at Aksia
Introduced via a recruiting firm. Did a phone screen with an internal recruiter followed by a timed writing test. I was then interviewed by several senior members of the team and completed a modeling case study. Whole process took about 6 weeks.
- Writing test, modeling test, technical & behavioral questions

First-round was an HR interview. Second round with a mid-level manager, followed by a writing sample test. The third round was with another mid-level manager and followed by a due diligent writing test. The last round was with a senior manager.
