      Estimator Interview

      30 Oct 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Edmonton, AB
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I interviewed at Akash Homes (Edmonton, AB)

      Interview

Had a brief phone call with the the hiring manager and was asked to come in for an in-person interview. I arrived early, but the the interviewer was 30 minutes late. The interview itself went well and was given a verbal offer, and was told I'd receive a call back to finalize details. After not hearing back for over a week, I tried to follow up. I called into the office and was transferred to the interviewer who then quickly dismissed me and was again told I'd receive a call. After another few days, called in again and the call was not answered. Tried again later, not answered. If they did decide to hire somebody else, that's fine, but ghosting a potential employee is extremely unprofessional.
