I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Akamai (Reston, VA) in Apr 2012
Interview
After applying online, I was contacted by Akamai's internal recruiter who did a basic check of my background to see if it fit the job description. I was contacted then a week later for an additional phone interview by a Service Line Manager, and again the following week by another Service Line Manager from the west coast.
At that point, I was asked to come on site for an in-person interview. This interview was about 5 hours, and was with about 6 different people. This ranged from meeting with who would later become my direct report supervisor, a Senior Sales Manager, a Practice Manger, two other senior solutions engineers, and an account executive that would be paired with whomever was selected for the role.
This interview helped give me a great insight into the culture of the company and helped me realize how many smart people there actually were at all levels of the organization. The number of people who had been there for 7+ years was a great indication that people were happy with the company and not just there for a few years before moving onto the next "big thing".
At the end of the week, I was contacted again by my future supervisor who had a few additional questions for me. At the end of the conversation, the supervisor indicated he was interested in moving forward with me and began salary discussions. After asking my requirements, he said they would make an offer that he did not want to go through multiple rounds of negotiation and that he felt I would be happy with.
Later that day, I was contacted by HR who gave me verbal details of the offer and indicated he would overnight the official offer letter the next business day. The offer exceeded my original requirements and then some.

You would be ask about the your current role and whether you understood the Job Description and are you okay to go ahead.
Manager Round(1st Technical Round):-
You would be questioned on your current projects. Also the manager would try to know how well did you understand about the JD
and are you okay to works in Shift. They will also ask you questions where in you had actually implemented a solution to check your
situation handling capacity. Plus few technical questions on HTTP and Internet technologies.
Presentation Round(2nd Round):-
Once you clear the 1st Tech round you would be asked to give a presentation on either HTTP or DNS.
Make sure you prepare the presentation by your on w/o using any available PPT on google. They will ask you questions in the answer you give,
so make sure you're through with the concepts. Try to keep less then 20 slides since they ask questions on each slide and you'll just have
1 hour to wrap everything.
I choose HTTP. Needless to say you should be fluent in English which would work in your favor while giving the Presentation and even if you
don't know the answer put a smile on your face an give an attempt to ans it rather then passing it.
Logical Reasoning(3rd Round):-
You would be give 2 puzzles to solve which are relatively simple.
I got 3 Bulbs in a room and crossing the river puzzle which you can google easily on google.
Plus you would also be give 2 situation based scenarios to see your approach.
Day as SA(4th Round):-
Panel would walk you through the work they do on daily basic. This is more of you listening and the interviewer telling you so make sure you're attentive.
Senior Manager Round(5th Round):-
Again Some questions on yourself and why Akamai and why SA profile be confident and answer honestly. Make sure you don't ask stupid things like is there onsite opportunity and stuff.
HR Round(6th Round):-
Salary Discussion and questions related to yours previous companies and why did you left them.
Plus HR would give a brief on benefits available in Akamai
Hearing and Email Writing Test(English)(7th Round):-
This is something like IELTS. If you're good in English you don't need to be afraid of this one.
If you take my opinion this was very easy if your hear everything properly.
