I can't rave enough about the people at Affirm - they're incredibly bright, while at the same time very humble. You're not only working with the best in the consumer FinTech industry, but some of the brightest minds in the Bay Area! The interview timeline included: 1) Initial call with the recruiter (~30 minutes) -- to gauge interest and general Capital Markets knowledge. 2) One-on-one meeting with the Head of Capital Markets (~1.5 hours) -- very detail-oriented interview that covered my background in structured finance (specifically working in the consumer finance space). Affirm's business model is incredibly interesting so I came out of this interview even more curious and excited by the job opportunity. 3) 7 x 45-minute interviews (2 via phone calls for those not based in San Francisco) with folks on the Capital Markets team or that interact frequently with the Capital Markets team (i.e. Legal, Credit / Risk, Product, Finance) -- to gauge my prior experience interacting with other teams, how I approach large projects, fit into the team / company, etc. The recruiters were very responsive, communicative and helpful throughout the process. I also asked to meet with several folks a second/third time to really ensure a great fit on the team and at the company. They were very accommodating throughout my experience.
