I applied online. I interviewed at Affiliated Clinical Research (Las Vegas, NV) in Mar 2025
Interview
Offered me the job then ghosted me for 6 weeks. Called back like nothing happened, offered me the job again, then rescinded the offer due to the “economy”, then relisted the position.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Affiliated Clinical Research
Interview
Interview by the owner who spends 1+ hours basically bragging about himself and then simultaneously says everyone in the company is frugal..he does this to then justify the lowball salary. Says they are the “largest” clinical research site in Vegas and no one pays better than them (an absolute lie). He couldn’t even give me the exact job description and said “we’ll see” to what my responsibilities would be. He studies you and gauges if he thinks he can take advantage of you, if he thinks so he is likely to hire you. Then you take a 100+ page packet to study and get interviewed by the second owner a week later. I then came in for a third interview to talk about the job and was offered $33k, and was promised that it would increase to $40k after a vague amount of time. That didn’t happen and I was called a liar when I brought it up months later. I was also told to be appreciative I was even paid a salary. It is common practice for him to not raise the “training” salary unless you put it in writing or threaten to quit. But, he has also raised salaries then fired employees for no reason a few months later. He structures the company as a revolving door of employees, there were about 10 employees who came and went over the course of a year, for a company that has less than 10 employees.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Affiliated Clinical Research in Sept 2020
Interview
The owner was so odd. He was late for my first and my second interview. Spent about 15 minutes gloating about his plane in the first, then went super hard into the interview questions making me stumble a bit due to being so uncomfortable. He seemed to expect me to know the entire clinical research field despite knowing I have no experience. He made a joke about seeing my application a few months prior but not liking it enough to interview me. Something came up while having a more normal conversation where I stated something about my husband's job. He then proceeded to tell me that having a young married woman in the position was scary because "Women tend to do what their husbands want. If he wants to leave Vegas you will probably agree and leave." They had me take home a huge packet to study for my second interview. I answered a question from the packet in my second interview correctly and he told me I was wrong. Luckily, someone else was in there with me and corrected him but I think he was upset. Told me he would contact me the next day but never did. While my interview wasn't perfect, I feel like I ultimately didn't get the job simply because I am a "feeble-minded" young married woman.
