      Communications Manager Interview

      29 May 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Amsterdam
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Adyen (Amsterdam) in May 2025

      Interview

The interview has 5 stages - screening call, peer interview, manager case study, director interview, and one call with a member of the board. The screening call was amazing, but in the interview with the peers I didn’t learn much more about the role. They started with the introduction and went straight into questions about me and my experience. If you are appying, I would suggest to focus more on your strategic skills and less on creative and personality fit.

      Communications Manager Interview

      21 Jan 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Adyen in Jan 2025

      Interview

This was my second interview with Adyen. I have no idea how anyone can possibly please them. I was told the discussion would focus on the following: Communication skills (be precise and structured) Stakeholder management Process Improvement Formula Fit I was never asked a direct question about any of these topics. Not one. I tried to squeeze in a little info, but it was hard to do without being awkward during a 20 minute chat. So, I did my best and gave concise answers to their questions. They never asked why I was looking for a new role, why I was interested in their company, or why this position in particular, which surpised me. And then they dismissed me because they didn't approve of my 'communication and working styles,' things the interviewer barely discussed if at all. I had spent over an hour preparing for this call and took notes about the points I was told we would focus on, but it all went to waste.
