Interview
The people I interviewed with were friendly. Applied through a job search site. Heard back from them after 2 weeks and setup a phone and video conference interview. They required a proficiency test involving knowing state abbreviations, time zones, being able to find answers through a google search, rewriting an email you would send to a customer, so that it sounds more professional, and a math test where you can’t use a calculator. Sorry. When was the last time you needed to do math and didn’t have a calculator? Between my computer, phone and watch I have access to 3 at all times. Pointless test.

Interview
Interview was pretty easy and simple. They were quick to respond to my application and setup an interview within a few days (seeing as I had applied on a Friday and was in their office Monday to interview). They offered me the job the very next day, met with them in person to have a verbal agreement and go over my path from tech support, to become familiar with their products, to developer. The next day HR sent me an email outlining my benefits and whatnot, all I had to do was reply to accept. I decided to negotiate for a higher salary and the owner extended a new offer. Some context behind that deal: he emailed me the counter after work hours around 7pm. I thought ok great I'll accept the next day. Well, before I could he emails me again pulling the deal right from under me, "regretfully the position is no longer available to you". I thought that was extremely unprofessional, and they showed their true colors; guess I dodged a bullet. He probably wouldn't have given me the raise we discussed since they don't "write things down" if he was going to be shady like that. Oh well, onto bigger and better things

Pretty Standard; met at a job fair where I gave my resume. I had a brief phone interview followed by in person interview. I was called back for a final interview the following week.
