I applied online. I interviewed at Adjust (Berlin) in Feb 2021
Interview
I applied online and was contacted for a phone screening and provided a link to schedule online. I am in the US and the Recruiter is in Germany. The online tool used UTC for the time zone and I mistakenly set up the call for 2 AM rather than 2 PM. The recruiter was very understanding and sent an email saying she realized it must have been a mistake since it would have been the middle of the night for me and she indicated she had time available still that same day that we could meet. I apologized and asked to schedule for a time slot during the window she offered but hours passed and she never responded. As the time I proposed got closer and I had not yet received a response, I sent another email proposing we meet the following day or another day the same week so she wouldn't have to stay up late to meet with me. I still did not receive a reply. Finally, 30 minutes prior to the time I had suggested, I sent a third email stating that I assume we would not be meeting that day since I hadn't heard back, but that I would still love to connect the following day or another day that week. I still never received a response. It seemed really odd to hear nothing at all after the recruiter had offered alternative times to meet, so I waited until the next day and sent a final follow up, on the off chance for some reason she hadn't received my responses the prior day. I again reiterated my interest and said I could make myself available at her convenience to meet that week. I never received a response. Then, about 2 weeks later I was contacted by the Recruiter. It turned out my emails had gone to her spam folder. She went above and beyond to add me back into the recruitment process and expedite the interviews so that I would be on pace with the other candidates. The team was great, high level of communication and I really felt valued.
