It was multi level from the HR all the way up to the principles. Their primary focus was on your ability to manage a classroom and making sure that every student is benefiting from the lectures.

Interview
Very casual/informal with no actual questions about teaching approach or supporting students. Lacked structure overall, and unclear expectations regarding schedule and timings of classes. It was not helpful at all.

Interview
I interviewed twice (for 2 different locations). Process involved a video call interview with the campus director. Pretty straightforward questions about the role. HR rep was supposed to be present, but was running late both times and didn't end up showing. I was told questions about benefits, growth, etc. were better answered by the HR rep who reached out after several weeks to conditionally offer the job (provided I could give 3 references and a clear police record check). HR rep said salary could not be negotiated and was vague about whether growth opportunities were probable. They told me to get back to them with references and I eventually emailed declining the position, received no response back.

Tell me about a time you had to go against protocol/break the rules.
Hello Student Advisor Interview Candidate, it was unfortunate that we were not a fit for each other in the employment process relationship. The discussion regarding wage rate was explained in detail when communications were in progress. It was explained that the wage is publicly posted in our job advertisements and to be fair to our existing employees, we do not compensate outside candidates at a higher rate, especially when the request is significantly above an entry level opportunity. It is standard employment practice to have candidates provide references before moving to the next step of issuing a contract. The request for a police record check is also a standard practice when applying to work in an educational setting. You were advised that if you did not have an existing police clearance check the Company would initiate obtaining one, at no cost to you. Upon receipt of your message declining our offer there was nothing further to discuss. May you have success in your future endeavors.
