I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch in May 2011
Interview
I got asked to work at Abercrombie by my university, but decided to interview to be a seasonal employee back home. I applied online and interviewed at a coffee shop in the mall with several others. I got called back a week later saying that I received the job. They were very laid back.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Nothing difficult or unexpected. They pretty much asked about diversity and its importance and asked us to practice saying the store's tagline "Hey, how's it going?" Definitely be as peppy and cheerful as possible because that is an important trait of everyone who works in their stores.
One on one individual interview that encourages you to dress the part for the image of Abercrombie. Group interviews allow you share your thoughts while bouncing off of each others’ input.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch (Santa Barbara, CA)
Interview
A manager sat a group of us down outside the store somewhere within the mall. They asked specific questions about the Abercrombie style and brand. They didn't ask much about the candidates individually. This was many years ago, so I'm sure it's different now.

Interview
Small group interview in the mall round table questions. Easy, don’t copy the other answers that’s it. Hear back pretty quick. Overall great vibe would highly recommend it to college students
