Hiring VP screen Behavioral and small case prompt on Execution, Homework presentation (1 year roadmap and strategy), 1:1s onsite with Program Mgmt, Marketing, and HR leads
Overall very lousy coordination but thankfully they do reimburse for meal during the onsite visit. Recruiters were not aware of the changing process. They didn’t coordinate with onsite team. Interviewers also spent more of the time trying to vent about the churn of product manager talent and lack of vision for the product. No skills testing was done outside of the homework prompt. Be careful not to criticize core product value prop, and to feed the answers that are expected. The team is at the MVP stage of the product and trying to resolve churn issues so be careful with how you cite specific pain points. Like many other companies, the interviewers were not as interested in first principles and simply looked for particular solutions and depth of analysis on their peer set. Expect shallow probing equivalent to the lower compensation that they offer.
