This interview was a total waste of my time. The position ended up being not the one I actually applied for. I applied for a sales position with Abacus Technologies. I showed up at the Abacus building for the interview and it turns out that the job was for Abaram technologies (IT equipment sales). I saw not one sign for Abaram technologies. Even weirder all of the license plates on the cars were from Florida?? I feel like this was a classic bait and switch. I was led into an office that was obviously never used but the interviewer claimed it to be his. The interviewer basically insulted both my credentials and my personal life several times within the first minute or 2. When I explained to him that I was brought in for a different position he proclaimed that they like to "throw curve balls around here". Just weird. The position was basically a commission only position. The base was on a scale, but no scale info was given therefore I can only assume they want you to work for free unless you hit some enormous pre determined # they assign. Mr. Power explained that 2 of his 6 reps (real?) make over 600k a year! That's funny as according to public information on the company they only had 800k in sales last year?? and they have been around since the 80's? not a great run for a company. I asked him how long the last person was here and he proclaimed that "nobody ever leaves". When I told him I can't even consider a scaled base I was whisked out of the office and told goodbye.
