In total the hiring process went on for almost 3 months, it was quite dreadful because they let you waiting weeks between interviews and also without any feedback.
Round 1- First interview was with the team, they focused more on my personality and if I would be a fit for the team. This went well and after a few days I had positive feedback and they scheduled an interview a few weeks later. I felt they didn't know Change management theory as they avoided technical questions a lot.
Round 2 - Interview with the manager and a stakeholder. This was more about my experience, previous jobs etc. After a few days I got positive feedback and they sent me some tests I needed to do.
Round 3- I had to do some IQ and personality tests, my results were above expectations. No one ever mentioned these tests again in any of the interviews, so I felt they were a big waste of time. Anyway, my next interview "to talk about the tests" was scheduled a couple of weeks after.
Round 4- This interview was supposed to be about the tests but it wasn't. It was the manager and a department manager again asking me situational and technical questions. They scheduled an interview with HR 2 days later.
Round 5- I was interviewed by HR, this interview was bizarre and the person asked me a lot of personal questions that left me uncomfortable like" tell me about your childhood", "do you have brothers and sisters" I think they didn't ask if I was thinking of having kids only because they aren't allowed by law. In the last 10 minutes they finally asked about my expectations.
Finally a week after I get an email saying "the manager went on holidays", which was pretty absurd.
Another week after I get another email congratulating and welcoming me, I got the job.
Three days later they call me saying the job salary may be a bit different and I accepted.
Two days later they call me again to tell me they will not hire me after all. It was a horrible experience and left me in tears.
