I applied through other source. I interviewed at ASEAN Centre for Energy (Jakarta)
Interview
After submitting your application, the first step of the recruitment process is taking a written test in the form of essay. The questions center around topics related to the department you're applying. The subsequent interview will further explore the topics discussed in your essay. It will help a lot to have read in-depth about current trends in the field you're applying. My suggestion is to also gather some insights from ACE's publications.

The interviewer creates a comfortable environment, encouraging open communication. They allow you to explain your submitted exam in detail, giving you space to clarify your answers and showcase your understanding.

Question 1
Can you walk me through your thought process for this answer?
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at ASEAN Centre for Energy in Apr 2024
Interview
I got an email about the announcement of the written test on D+17 after registering on the vacancy page on the website. The written test consisted of a package of questions with data, maps, tables, and quite complex information about the travel profiles of artificial countries resembling ASEAN (3 hours, submitted via email). I got the announcement of the panel interview session and presentation of written test answers one week later.
The interview panel was attended by 3 associates/senior associates and HR. Questions were very technical around energy knowledge, policy scenarios, and ACE's ongoing programs. The interviewers responded very well and appreciated our answers. Questions from HR were only about job transition if we move on to the next stage (notice period, etc).
About two weeks after the interview, I was offered another position that was “somewhat similar” (also asked during the interview). A week later I was sent an offer letter (with an offer package and starting date). After that, we were directed to do MCU and provide contacts for reference checks (about 2 weeks after the offer letter was sent). The total time from applying on the website to the first day of work was around 60 days (2 months).
