I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at ALDI (Melbourne) in Sept 2016
Interview
The process took 1 week. I applied at ALDI Melbourne, and got an invitation for group interview the after a day. The first interview date I selected was cancelled an hour before the interview. I received a text message and a call to notify me of this. I'd to reschedule my interview.
I arrived 30mins before the interview, and had a chat with other interviewees. The group interview lasted 15mins. The next day, I got an SMS inviting me for a ONE-on-ONE interview the same day. After that, I received an email on my Application Outcome - Unsuccessful.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
GROUP Interview:
We filled a short form: Name, Position Applied, List of stores you wish to work, Your Availability, Your health condition. and submitted to the interviewer.
Introduce yourself, and tell us why you want to work for ALDI
ONE-on-ONE INTERVIEW:
Tell me about your self
Why do you want to work for ALDI?
Confirmation of what I filled in the form (availability, health, and preferred stores)
What's the minimum hours you can work from a financial stand point as we don't currently have full time opportunities?
Finally, the bomb, which I guess scored me down: WHY DO YOU WANT TO LEAVE ENGINEERING?
Was overly complicated and too many stages, online test x2 and a recorded interview. Application itself is very tedious and is not very friendly to new users. Apparently you need to know someone already in ALDI to work at there stores.
I applied online. I interviewed at ALDI in May 2026
Interview
Call interview. Got an email to schedule a time for a call interview and passed it.
Still need to do a Store interview (which I was told would be the final interview).

Interview
You'll just have to do a short video interview with one practical question and three interview questions. Each questions is 60seconds with 90seconds for breaks. So good luck. Make sure your microphone is working. Good luck 👍
