      Proofreader Interview

      3 Dec 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Rotterdam
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AIHR (Rotterdam) in Oct 2020

      Interview

They offered no interview, instead I had to take a 10 minute personality test and then complete 2 proofreading assignments. I was rejected after the proofreading test and when I asked for feedback I got no reply - this was in October and it is now December. I find this lack of response and the amount of work I was given very strange. I would like to know what they have done with my work, which I put so much effort into. What I've learned from this process is to not do a large amount of 'work test' before you get a face to face interview. I think half an hour should be the maximum amount of time to spent on a 'work test'.

      Interview questions [2]

      Question 1

Firstly I had to take a personality test

      Question 2

Secondly I had to proofread two videos one was 23 minutes long and the other one was just under 13 minutes long.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us and taking the time to apply to join our team. We are sad to hear that it was not a good process for you. This role was a very exciting one for us to be able to open. In the process, as always, we focus on finding the best match for the role in a structured and thorough way. For our team, that means also completing a personality test for all roles. Thank you also for sharing your experience with the work test. While it was meant to be a quite challenging one as this fits the role, it was not our expectation for candidates to spend more than 2 hours on it. This is definitely input we will take into account the next time we are opening a similar role. Last but not least, we do our best and are always happy to provide more insights into the work test results. If this is something you would still find valuable, please reach out to us directly (lily.stamenova@aihr.com). We would love to help with this further.
