I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at AECOM (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2014
Interview
I interviewed mostly with two main people under whom I'd be working. I felt during the interview that they were trying to intentionally intimidate me, I believe as a tactic to see how much I wanted the position. So, any new job seeks, just be forewarned.
Also, I had the interview just as URS was being merged with AECOM. I interviewed with a few transfers from URS who seemed rather disinterested. Some of the people who I interviewed with that were already with AECOM asked perfectly reasonable questions. Not the greatest interview experience that I have had, but not the worse.
I had a single interview following standard procedure and questions with three technical specialists from the company. It was ~45 mins long and conducted on Microsoft teams. I was not asked any specific technical questions, mostly HR style questions and discussing my previous experiences and skill set.
