      Technical Support Engineer Interview

      19 Apr 2018
      Anonymous employee
      San Jose, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at A10 Networks (San Jose, CA) in Nov 2017

      Interview

The interview took 2 weeks, after applying through the website I received a call from recruiter and 1 week later she scheduled a phone screening from one of the managers with some simple questions about load balancing and network concepts, I got the F2F interview in the HQ with 3 engineers and 2 managers, I was asked different type of TCP features and general queries like describing a packet walk from scratch, also during managerial interviews I tried to behave myself and responded to questions like where do you see yourself within next 5 years, in a nutshell since Technical engineering assumes to be an entry level in network engineering field I've not had very difficult interviews with very strange questions.

      Technical Support Engineer Interview

      7 Dec 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at A10 Networks

      Interview

Had an initial phone screen with HR and later had a technical phone interview the hiring manager. I had 4 technical rounds and one non-technical -- 2 engineers, 2 managers and a director; though I had a chance to grill the managers and director about the culture, the team and the company in more general. HR contacted me a few days later to tell me they were going to extend an offer; but wanted to know my salary range but I declined and politely asked that they make an offer -- only to come back few days later saying they were moving on to another candidate. I figured it came down to compensation considering where I was coming from -- but that was just unprofessional on their part. Got a solid offer few weeks later at a brand name company -- even better.
