I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at 90.5 WESA (Pittsburgh, PA) in Mar 2023
Interview
There was one interview over zoom with the internship coordinator, as well as the VP of the station and one of the producers. They were extremely friendly and laidback, and their questions focused on time management, how my writing skills could transfer over to the broadcast journalism, what I'm looking to learn from the internship, and what skills I can possibly bring to the table. Overall, I didn't feel overwhelmed or pressured talking to all three of them at once. Offered me the job an hour after the interview was over.
