I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at 7-Eleven in Jun 2025
Interview
Recruiter reached out quick to do a phone screen. She did most of the talking. May have been turned off from the thorough questions that I asked about the position. She said she would connect me with the Hiring Manager. I had to follow back up for her to send me the Teams link. After preparing for the interview with Hiring Manager, I received a email less than a hour from the Interview time that the Job was being put on pause and I would be reconsidered once they open up positions in my area again. This must be their process for finding the right candidate. If it works, it works. Just a little tacky!

Application
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at 7-Eleven (United States Coast Guard - Air Station Sacramento) in Jan 2025
Interview
Two 30 minute interviews and then final offer.
1st interview - thorough screening, average questions about why you're looking for a new role and want to work for 7 eleven, your previous experience, and how it aligns with the role.
2nd Interview - with manager and is final. It's brief, 30 minutes, with 5 minutes left to ask questions. I did most of the talking. The manager asks the same typical questions and will inform you of the role and what it entails.

Question 1
The manager asks the same typical questions and will inform you of the role and what it entails. This role is almost all travel, all of the time. You expect a minimum of 300 nights in a hotel out of the year. The work schedule is also varying in degrees with reporting to work on weekends, holidays, evenings, and around the construction schedule so can begin in the morning or at 3AM in the morning! It is very high travel frequency, with 3 days off plus 1 travel day included after each project.
I give this interview a plus for the level of transparency the manager and recruiter gave.
