I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at 7-Eleven (Santa Monica, CA) in Aug 2021
Interview
So I filled an application out online at 7eleven's website and I put in for 4 different locations. I got several calls from recruiters from locations out of state and none that i applied to and I kept turning them down. Finally, a recruiter called me asking if i could work about 10 miles down the road from my house and I said sure. So then he told me the store owner would contact me next. So the store owner called me and asked me what my availability was, if i had any customer service or food handling experience, and if i could work nights. I briefly told them that i had open availability and a lot of customer service but no food handling experience and I would love to work nights. He then told me to come in the next day for Orientation! I was basically hired on the spot on the phone!
But there have been other employees who walk in with their resume and dressed up and they get hired on the spot too. It all depends on the store owner...
Just 1 interview with manager. It was an in person interview. I was asked customer service related questions. stregnth weakness. How you work underpressure etc. How you learn quickly. What is your availability?
Very short very easy nothing too crazy that you don’t know about. Mainly personal experience questions nothing technical like if you know how to use this or that, only the system to do customer transactions and clocking in and out as well as learning how to use slurpee machines etc.
