1). Applied online. 2). Had a short phone interview with the recruiter. Had to complete an application. 2). Came in for a 30 minute interview. Reviewed my work history, sales process. While the interview was professional and I felt I was treated well, I didn't realize until after the interview that the job I was applying for was already posted on the client's website. I was under the impression that 4staff, a job placement/recruiter, was the only one handling the hiring of the position - but that clearly was not the case. Although they gave me the impression they had inside information about the compensation and the duties, I felt somewhat deceived since anyone could apply directly for the job on their client's website without even considering my resume. As a result, if other good candidates apply for the job directly, the client wouldn't consider me because they probably don't want to pay the recruiter fee. If I had known this in advance, I would have just applied for the job directly on the client's website. I felt the whole process was a "bait and switch" situation and left a bad taste in my mouth.I got the impression they really wanted me to work temporary jobs, and maybe use me later for other sales opportunities. I would never use them again.
