The CEO sent me a recruiting email, and once I followed up I was connected with a recruiter for a screening. The screening call was normal, and I was told I'd be scheduled for (assuming things progressed) a "get to know you" call with a member of the team, followed by a "technical" design interview, followed by a call with Dmitry. I mentioned that I was interviewing elsewhere but was not in a hurry. There must have been confusion about my time constraints, because I was scheduled for a call with the CEO the next day. He missed the call due to a time zone mixup, and rather than reschedule, I was scheduled for a *different* interview ("technical design call") with 2 other team members the following day. This was later changed to only one team member, and to be non-technical. After the "get to know you" call I did not hear from anyone at 1build for 5 days, at which point I was told that my skill set did not match what they were looking for. This was in spite of the fact that during the two phone calls I had, I was told the exact opposite information very explicitly. TL;DR: The brief interactions I had with the CEO and one team member made them seem like good people. However the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring process has managed to be the most chaotic and poorly-managed I have ever experienced in so short a time.
