Interview
HR screening, take home assignment, soft skills, tech interview in this order. Interestingly, during the interviews, I only encountered people from a certain country that's invading another right now in Europe (but I was told that they had different ethnicities working for them as well). The soft skills interview was more like speed dating: chat about hobbies and dreams for an hour. The tech interview was extremely light, there was no problem solving component. The tech guys sounded inexperienced, like this was the first time they participated in an interview on either side.
The HR team and data scientist were professional and competent. Good experience there.
The last two interview stages were problematic. The interviewers had no data science background and frankly weren't qualified to assess me at this level. One showed up 10 minutes late without warning, which was disrespectful. They tried talking up the team and company, but their questions were weak and didn't demonstrate real expertise. The only reason they're apparently at this seniority level is because they've been at the company for years, not because they're actually strong candidates to be interviewing.
Still, the HR team and data scientist colleague made the process worthwhile.
Overall I did not see professional attitude, I did not think HR listens me or understand and there was tech problems. Overall if I were invited to next stage I would reject.
