1) A high-level manager at Inuits (An outsourcing company. 1010data is their client) contacted with me, and told this: "We are searching for Data Scientists. However, it is not advertised at our official website". This was already strange, but since I was looking for a Data Scientist role, I accepted the interview
2) 1st interview (with HR at Inuits): No technical questions. Friendly atmosphere
3) 2nd interview (with Hiring Manager at 1010data): Too easy technical questions like "What is Data Science?" and some chatting
4) 3rd interview (with 1 level above person at 1010data): A few more advanced technical questions. The job responsibilities are finally (!) revealed and I realized that this job is not related with "Data Scientist" title already, since the tasks are not related with that. For example, he did not even care about my Modeling/Machine Learning knowledge
5) 4th interview (with 1 level above person at 1010data): At that point, I already lost my eagerness. Because, I realized that I am interviewing with an unprofessional company. However, since I invested lots of time to them already, I decided to complete the hiring process...That very high-level person did not care the final interview at all. Because, he started to the interview without having my CV, and that is why he asked about my educational and professional background. Unprofessional and disrespectful. This behaviour reflected the culture of the company
Result: "Unfortunately, we are not going to move forward with you for the position of DATA ANALYST"...Data Analyst? They invited me for the "Data Scientist" role at the beginning, and as I wrote above, they told that "Data Scientist" role is not advertised at their official website. However, with this feedback sentence, it is clear that I was interviewing for "Data Analyst" role! So, nobody cared wasting my hours with those 4 interviews
In conclusion, I assure you that I never came across with such a terrible treatment in comparison to all of my other interview experiences in the world. I strongly recommend you to check the interview reviews of the companies at Glassdoor.com
