I went through three rounds of interviews with La Finteca for a PR Specialist role. The first two? Great. The HR recruiter was warm, curious about my background, asked for real examples, and laid out what they wanted. It felt like a match. Then came round three—with the CEO of La Finteca, Dmytro Rukin—and suddenly, things went downhill. He came across as cold. That in itself isn’t a deal-breaker, but things got worse as the chat continued. What started as reserved turned outright sharp. And his English? Fair, but unclear at times, which made understanding his questions tricky. He then contradicted every example I shared—my tried-and-true media strategies. The irony: I'm seasoned in PR and fintech. It hit me immediately: the CEO had his own rigid—and, I’d argue, misguided—idea about PR, despite lacking deep expertise in it. If that’s the case, why bring someone on board? Honestly? It's the worst interview I’ve ever had. I was ready to bow out politely—and I did, walking away. The company clearly didn’t want to move forward either.
