      Former employee

      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Pro's are as follows from my memory: Flexible schedule, weekly pay, good benefits for management, decent enough pay

      Cons

okay, here goes. What follows is an honest recollection how my 10 years of experience went. I do not intend to hurt anyone's feelings and i can only assume someone from Whataburger HR will read this. These are not accusations but rather a general vibe working for the company. I, honestly, remember the rumors about how sensitive HR and corporate were when you went above the store level. I was actually told by my boss, who will remain unnamed, that if i ever had an issue it was honestly better to not involve the HR department because they are emotionally sensitive and prone to ruining lives over minor infractions. These are just my feeling as i said before, the biggest problem I ever had with Whataburger was the work environment that we all had to work in every day. I think we all agree we should not fear our HR and Corporate partners. Just having an open door policy is not enough.

Weird Interview process. Confrontational points of contact

      District manager
      Former employee
      Birmingham, AL
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

My inital point of contact with the recruiter was pleasant.

      Cons

I expressed interest in a position that was lateral to the interviewer and it appeared to become a conflict of interest. The interviewer was awkwardly confrontational and began comparing experiences and manage styles. Interviewer refused to provide --- Salary range and job descriptions for the various positions advertised at the job fair - Insight on work/life balance within the company - Feedback on the company culture Or any a direct response to any other question I asked during the interview.

      Pros

I worked with my bf so it was fun and working the afternoon shift was easy

      Cons

Couldn't really leave till ur replacement came in
