What is the salary like at Steel Dynamics?

Good company culture, great pay, good company leadership, relatively good working conditions compared to others in the steel industry.

insurance is very selective, vacation/PTO is very low compared to other employers, no sick/personal days which makes for super a spreader site during flu season.

The pay is great as well as the bonus program. I enjoy the four days off for sure but yes night shift is tough.

The management team promotes who they want in any position regardless of if another employee is better suited for the job. The cliques have got way out of control. Current manager in our area is well below an average individual for being put into a position where he has no clue how to do any of the jobs as well as no interpersonal skills.
