Pros
Interview and hiring process was quick and easy. The HR representative Aica was always responsive if I needed something during the process. There is a great remote culture established. Good product, good benefits, and good work/life balance.

Pros
Incredibly fast and respectful Hiring process. From application to job offer was 8 days with 3 interviews. Collaborative culture. The team has multiple touch points each day for members to share knowledge and discuss active tickets, allowing for quick resolution of issues. I never feel afraid to ask questions, and the time between these meetings gives me time to resolve many issues on my own. Friendly team. Everyone on the team has been pleasant to work with. There's a very personable atmosphere that makes it easy to relax, coordinate with the team, and get work done. Reasonable expectations. Management sets reasonable goals and expectations for work, and offers flexibility where needed based on circumstances. I.e. the goal for the week may be 10 ticket closures, but if you got 5 tickets that were all complex, you hit the goal. Great pay and benefits. The PTO is generous, and the pay exceeded my expectations. No complaints. They promote from within. I've seen multiple director level employees who started as developers within Star. It's always a good sign when a company promotes from within
Cons
No clear coding standards. This is being worked on, but the code can be a bit messy in places.
Pros
I had a very positive experience throughout the recruitment process. Aica (Talent Acquisition Director) was supportive, responsive, and consistently communicative, making sure I felt informed and prepared at every stage. The process moved swiftly while still allowing time for meaningful conversations and clear expectations. Overall, it felt well-organized, transparent, and respectful of my time.
Cons
No significant downsides - overall a very smooth process.
Pros
-Friendly teams - The team I got brought into is pretty friendly, ESPECIALLY the higher-ups. They are actually really nice and do what they can to help and don't look down on you which is amazing. - RECOGNITION FOR TOUGH WORK! - When working overtime and working on a tough project, I found that it definitely does not go unnoticed and they actually appreciate your efforts. - very positive recruitment process thanks to Aica Raffi! Shes super friendly and explains the whole process thoroughly. She also makes you feel very comfortable as some times it can be initmidating..shes the opposite! - Free food when there are occasions in the office! This is a bonus. - Free parking when on site! - although there are limited parking spaces, there are free spots for Star Compliance employees which is brilliant. - Universe of learning tools! - there are a number of tools that can be used to learn new things. especially a website called Plurasight which can be great to learn new things from and grow as a QA.
Cons
- Really high-pressure and fast-paced environment... at times it can feel overbearing BUT there are always people you can reach out to. - Some of the benefits could be better. e.g. last I asked, I was told when you need new glasses they only provide £10 towards it

Pros
. Fast paced . Opportunities . Recognition and growth . Never a dull place . Annual salary increments . Hiring incredible talent
Cons
Every place has its ups and downs More younger leaders than stagnant leaders More development programs please
Pros
Mostly remote company with lots of opportunity to interact with executive leadership at the staff level. Fast growth provides opportunities to design and improve processes. Co-workers are passionate about their jobs and careers. Ability to be very hands on in many different parts of the accounting processes and also close interaction with the finance team. The CFO is very supportive and more than willing to help resolve any business challenges and is also very approachable and eager to mentor and coach those who ask.
Cons
Priorities can change quite often and sometimes are forgotten to be communicated. It can be difficult to get responses to questions on any challenges (late meetings, no show meetings, no response to email/chat questions, etc.). Processes in place were extremely manual creating lots of opportunity for error, though there is a heavy focus to automate and update current processes. Witnessed several tense interactions between members of different teams over disagreements that made me uncomfortable but didn't cross any lines. The on-boarding process left a lot to be desired as I was not trained on my primary duties within the first month of employment. The first week or so was focused on assisting with the annual audit. Shortly after, a banking issue demanded the finance leadership's time and attention for another week or two. A lack of process documentation and access to data prevented self training. I know the on-boarding process has been revamped since I was hired and so is likely a smoother experience now.
Pros
1. Welcoming Company Culture: From the beginning I felt a warm and welcoming atmosphere .The entire team made me feel connected and included. 2. Smooth Onboarding: During the onboarding process I was lucky to have the support of HR, who was incredibly helpful. She provided comprehensive information, answered my questions promptly, and ensured a smooth transition. 3. Supportive Buddy System: My assigned buddy has been a great source of support and guidance, 4. Caring Management: I'm fortunate to have a manager who is always there to support me. He frequently check in on my progress, offer guidance, and genuinely care about my professional growth. 5. Transparency: I appreciate that I can easily access the information I need, which fosters a sense of trust and openness.
Cons
Doesn't really count as a con: In addition to working with the tech team locally, I also collaborates with members of my big team in the UK. There are time zone differences but so far so good! This will be a unique experience!
