      Cons

Terrible company, i rarely saw the Area Manager and when i asked him about getting discounted travel on the DLR, which is also owned by Serco, i was flat refused. No career prospects or pay rises to speak of. I couldn't wait to leave.

      Terrible and Corrupt Management

      Anonymous employee
      Former employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

You will always be paid on time.

      Cons

Every 2 years the company will fire a significant amount of staff. Nepotism is very common. Management changes often and are incompetent. There is no career advancement. Hatred and bigotry are very common at all levels of the company. Contracts are signed with no intention of meeting requirements. People have died working for Serco, more than make the news. Pay inequality is excessive and the refused outright to begin tackling it.

Not a place for a career

      Patent classifier
      Former employee
      Harrisonburg, VA
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Flexible schedule, remote work, relatively easy work

      Cons

Monotonous, mind-numbingly boring job. No career advancement. Constant worry about layoffs. Management plays favorites, major issues with nepotism, good work is NOT rewarded, the best people always leave because they get no recognition or rewards and have to watch the worst workers get promotions and awards because they drink and party with their supervisors. Project manager complains about how much people are paid, and then he is never in the office and is constantly posting on social media about traveling the world and partying and having a good time while his "over paid" workers slave away.
