      Pros

Managers are approachable and supportive of growth. Friendly co-workers. Free cafeteria lunch. Beautiful corporate office. Company donates to charities and environmental causes. Ability to buy stocks.

      Cons

No holiday pay (must use PTO), no volunteer pay (if outside of work hours), unclear EAP benefits, some short term disability and maternity pay (finally), but difficult to navigate, Small 401K match, low tuition reimbursement, no HSA.

      Pros

-The benefits are great with options for insurance, short term and long term leave, pto for everyone, 401k with employer contributions, private company stocks for employees only, celebrations for employee recognition.

      Cons

as a company Publix is not bad to work for when you have the right managers. I have 5 years at the same store and I have seen my fair share of a good store ran by a manager who cares and a store that can crumble with one who is inefficient at their job.

Worth it, if you plan on long term

      Cons

      Pros

As of today, a full-time associate working for almost a year, and I get 176 hours of PTO based on new policies effective January 1st, 2024. 176 hours equals to 22 days per year. The breakdown is the following: 5 holidays + 6 sick days = 11 days 11 personal days + 11 holiday/sick= 22 days total. You can no longer accumulate sick time, they only give you 6 days max per year. After that you have to use short term disability, which Publix does pay for, but it only covers 70% of pay up to $716 per week for 12 weeks. A plus about this is that you can use your sick days as personal time as well, a d you might as well really. All and all, if you are willing to work hard, you can go far in this company. Managers are only supposed to work 45 hours a week and some department managers at business stores make easily over $100,000 with their bonuses. Not bad for only 45 hours a week.

      Cons

      Pros

Paid weekly 401k, stock and profit sharing Employee owned and Publix gives you stock just for working there without having to purchase stock on your own. Health, dental. Vision, long-term disability and short term. PTO you accumulate more the longer you are with the company. Maternal and maternal leave even if you adopt. Open door policy and a pip line. Plenty of job specific resources. Closed on Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Close early on new Year's eve. New year day and Christmas Eve. Hurricane response team, SRT program to help busier stores during high volume times. Relocation bonuses if promoted or transferred to a store over 59 miles from your home with a 2 year contract.

      Cons

You can be relocated anytime to another store within 59 miles of your home. In some areas this could mean driving 1.5 hours to and from work each day. You are not giving much notice your lucky if it's a week but majority of the time you are told Wednesday and start Saturday.

Great benefits overshadowed by a lack of family focus
