      Pros

Good mission - used to be a category-defining company. Good work-life balance.

      Cons

Extremely low employee morale due to incompetent and egotistical leadership. Mediocrity is the norm in hiring. Senior leadership values hiring “yes men” that come from WebMD. Rampant nepotism - interns (and new hires) are often friends and family of the c-suite. Many people in leadership roles are all style, no substance. A completely unserious place to work with no accountability. Many people are happy to coast. Below average market pay. Executives lack strategy, vision, and have been taking the company in a bad direction with numerous new products that sound shiny but are shoddily built (and pale in comparison yet are more expensive for employers than most other options on the market). Commercial drives all product work and decisions. Processes are consistently changed and rarely stuck to across departments. High turnover amongst the most intelligent / technical employees due to lack of investment from the organization and lack of career advancement opportunities (that is, unless you’re one of a few chosen favorites of the CEO).

      Cons

-leadership within the contact center sexually harassed someone and a creep and still works there -they keep people with the worst outside and poor work ethic -the post on LinkedIn how they’re an awesome company but it’s poorly managed, they don’t promote work/life balance, no growth opportunities

      Pros

benefits are good if you stay long enough

      Cons

This is a prime example of how poor leadership can ruin an entire organization. The mid-leadership team is filled with people who are not qualified for the job but were still hired through "strong recommendations" from leaders at the company. Since January of this year, the retention rate has been declining despite 2024 being a very rough job market. I would be curious to see how many people would choose to stay once the job market improves. Also, don't believe it when they say they care about you and your growth opportunities, because this is 100% a lie, unless they can benefit from it directly.

Mission lost to favoritism and burnout

      Pros

The company’s mission to expand access to fertility treatment is truly inspiring and meaningful. Many employees are compassionate, intelligent, and genuinely care about helping others.

      Cons

Unfortunately, the internal culture no longer reflects the company’s mission of inclusion and support. Advancement opportunities often depend on personal connections with leadership rather than performance. Employees from underrepresented backgrounds or those with family responsibilities face limited growth. Work-life balance is nearly impossible — 70–80 hour weeks are common, and doing your job well isn’t enough unless you’re covering the work of multiple people. Men tend to receive more promotions and new titles, even in unclear roles, while women — especially mothers — are frequently overlooked. Performance reviews are inconsistent and biased. Those who are close to leadership or part of the inner circle often receive inflated ratings, while others who meet or exceed expectations receive only average reviews, limiting their chances for advancement. Overall, favoritism and nepotism have replaced fairness and transparency. Many employees who once loved the mission now feel disengaged and unrecognized.

      Pros

I have been with Progyny for 3 years now and know I’ve found my career company. They care about their mission, number one. So you’ll always be working with purpose. They care about their clients, members and employees the same. They are generous in pay, vacation time. They are flexible (at least in my experience) and take care to consider work-life balance. The company as a whole, fantastic.

      Cons

Provider relations/CAS can feel “entry level”, starting to bring aboard some new hires with little to no fertility experience which has proven challenging. With the company growing so fast, you’d think there would be plenty of opportunity for growth but there isn’t when one req opens and 200 people apply. Lack of communication at times. Lack of understanding how each department/function effect eachother.
