Pros
- You will meet some truly wonderful people if you choose to work here. The staff have some genuinely incredible talent.
- On site parking albeit overflowing some days.
- Reasonable salaries for the area
- Free tea, coffee and fruit (if thats a deal maker for you)
- Good choice of places to eat at lunch in surrounding area
Cons
- The company operates as though its 2005 with no real urgency to change. The technology is simply non-existent, and dependent on what department and position you are in, your mileage will vary.
- Lots of good intentions to “modernise” the working space for employees, but want 5 years to make it happen. Until then its virtual desktops with constant service drop outs,
- Favouritism shown to the Wolverhampton office, full remodel and new equipment with no timeline or blue print of replicating for other sites, makes you think that days are numbered for the Kent sites.
- Multiple systems that should have been retired years (or decades) ago, highly unfriendly to the user.
- An absolute reluctance by the CEO to move into the 21st century and embrace hybrid working properly, you will be constantly told how working in person builds a great atmosphere, and encourages people to do their “best work”, in reality you will be have so much work on that you will put headphones in to block out the noise of others on the phone, or on a meeting call due to the lack of meeting space, until either lunch time or home time, and find yourself wishing you’d stayed home.
- Supply your own work from home equipment unless your a manager or higher. (Laptop, screens etc.)
- Salary reviews and bonuses have been dramatically reduced over the prior couple of years.
- Recently made significant number of redundancies (Dec 24) with outsourcing abroad being the primary solution.
