Pros
The sales commission is very good from 60-85% commission on annual premiums.
Investment grid is very handsome and can get as high as 95% of investment fees. Most tenured advisors might fall under the 60-70% grid rate.
You build you own practice so you get to work with the people you like and can easily create your own schedule. Things get easier if you have a killer first 5yrs but each year is very grueling.
Cons
High high expectations that unless you're very disciplined, talented or have done the job before low margins of actually staying. Lower than 5% retention rate with the advisors I saw staying.
It's a very tough job, leadership will help you a ton, but you have to grind at it for 5 straight years when everything is 100% commission
