How is management perceived at Modern Milkman?

None that I can think of.

Everyone is lied to from the customers who are told their milk is from local dairies to the unfortunate people who work here. Nasty company which shows the genial farmer “Simon” who was CEO as the front of the company but behind the scenes it’s run by Oxbridge city boys who wouldn’t know a cow if they fell over it. I was treated horrendously. It’s a bullying culture where they act like they’re one big happy family but will turn on a sixpence if they think your face doesn’t fit. I have 30 years of corporate experience working for some of the biggest companies worldwide and have never known a more disingenuous company. In sales we were told by our managers to be vague about where the products were sourced from as they market the products as local food delivered to your doorstep. The milk is often sourced from over a hundred miles away. They are nothing like a local milkman but they deceive the customers into thinking they are. Simon is now in the US building his empire. They pay their management very well and the people who are lower down the pecking order extremely badly.

Colleagues, working from home, hours!

Your character and integrity is shattered from the minute you sign your contract. You are micro managed and manipulated by the People Team and Team Leaders on the daily. The disrespect is massive and you will leave the company an absolute shell of your former self. People within this company are only out for their own gain and career progression up the slippery ladder with zero management experience. Employees are not seen as individuals you are simply a number and someone they can manipulate every single day. Your voice and commitment is pointless cause this company do not care about anybody. Staff are put on PIPs with hidden agendas to simply breakdown staff who have shown nothing but commitment to the company. They like to crack the whip and threaten job loss in order for staff to nod and agree to ridiculous forever changes within the company. They only want YES people. If you value your sanity and self respect avoid this company at all costs. Value yourself and look elsewhere. Years of commitment were not ever acknowledged by management during my notice period or on my final working day. It’s a shambles. They do not care!!! Avoid avoid avoid

Poor commission and management system

- flexibility with WFH and being able to work in the office too - lots of social activities going on which makes it fun and brings the departments together - great CS team with lots of opportunity to put ideas into play - giving you a sense of belonging - lots of opportunities to grow and learn in other areas you may not be familiar with which help you see the bigger picture of the business - really hard working team who are team players willing to support each other - management like to get involved in the day to day which helps them understand the day to day of an agent - no gap between management and being an agent - seems like we are all on the same team which is how it should be - customer service can be challenging in any business but it really is about how the business and the team support one-another - I’ve always felt supported here - trust in staff to do the right thing and make decisions - health and well being budget alongside learning and development budget

- can be challenging, fast pace (customer service in a nutshell) but you can run with it easily due to supportive and understanding management

Flexibility if you able to create and manage your own structure

Very Long hours, all responsibilities on top of your shoulder, business structure not in place no supervisors no deputy to share duties between managers

Paid Weekly For Your Time

Poor unprofessional management. Vans falling apart, dangerous for drivers but management couldn't care less. Blatant favoritism regarding who given best routes. Unrealistic targets. No job security,bullying culture. Long routes, when you calculate time it takes to complete, you are earning minimum wage. Work 6 nights a week, always tired, no home life...When you need time off to rest management threaten to sack you.
