What are pay raises like at MOD Pizza?

      MOD Pizza reviews

      Amazing atmosphere

      Pros

The environment was great and fun but pay wasn’t the best

      Cons

Pay is low and isn’t a lot of room for raises

Company care about the wrong things

      Pros

If you are in management at any level, you can get certain benefits like pto. All employees get a free shift meal for every shift worked. You can work up in the company with hard work and sucking up.

      Cons

The pay is not worth the work put in. Captains in my area are going on a second year without cost of living increases in pay, despite the minimum wage going up significantly in the area. Upper management tends to care way more about numbers and sales then ensuring the restaurant is actually running smoothly, the staff are trained properly, and there’s not skeleton crews. The lack of raises, the decline in ingredients, and the increasing level of duties make this job miserable.

      Pros

working there you really stack up the vacations and sick pay hours if you are a full time employee... they have great benefits. Great environment and team to work with. I truly loved my job when I was there. hours were long but it was a great first job and great experience and I was able to move into management pretty quickly by working hard.

      Cons

High turnover rate. Always needing to. train someone new. If you are in management you. are better off. Decent pay for a first job but raises after receiving captain (highest position besides agm or gm) the pay raises stop. i was there for three years. and i only got pay raises when i became a captain and then when i became a trainer. This all happened with one year of working. Inever received another one.

      Easy work, horrible management

      Pros

Free lunch Not very stressful Busy nights can bring good tips

      Cons

Long hours (consistently 11+ hour days sometimes even 14) No appreciation or recognition Hit or miss with having good coworkers (MOD hires at 16 so a lot of part time/first jobs that kids dont actually care about) MOD relied on your ability to make your own tips so they can pay you scraps for the hourly wage Yearly raises are usually 25¢ Any position above the GM (dm and up) seem to always act like they are better than you and treat you like dirt or just ignore you No incentive to work hard No incentive to show up to more than 25% of your shifts Promotions are easy to get but the pay:work ratio is not good (13 for squad - 15 captain - 17 assistant general manager - 65k general manager) Most stores have a toxic work environment caused by bad leadership and immature children

      Pros

Worked at multiple locations, same experiences at each one just a different building. No full-time hours or you get in trouble. Regular store crew members are cool people tho. Gained 2 yrs of management experience for my resume. Learned I’m worth truck loads of cash compared to the treatment and work.

      Cons

Upper management; agm, gm, regional, including district managers, will encourage store managers to lie to customers and employees regularly. If you want to be promoted from team member the agm/gm will tell you what you want to hear and string u along svrl months at a time if ure an ethical hard worker just to keep you around since the regular crew members half-a*s their jobs. They expect u to run an understaffed team at minimal pay, all the while getting customer complaints that there aren’t enough team members to fulfill the orders w/in a timely manor, while the gm sits in the back on his phone catching up on the sports game or watching anime, but the store manager in charge is to blame for everything that goes wrong. This company has 0 accountability. As a store manager I was expected to pick up the heavy slack of the team members at below living wages for the amount of work that was expected. Consistently complained at for not running the entire store without even being given the resources or tools to do so. This is coming from someone that has worked in the restaurant industry for 16 years. When hired on they give you this starry-eyed idea of an ethical company that cares about the community, diversity and fast promotion for climbing the proverbial ladder. But all the while treating their employees like slaves so the big wigs can crunch their numbers to go public in the stock market and get their massive bonuses. I’ve worked at many restaurants of all types, this was the most physically demanding and soul sucking company I have never had the pleasure of working with. I learned a lot about what ethics I will implement into my future entrepreneurial endeavors. Oh and expect remedial excuses as to why u didn’t get the raises they promised for learning to do extra work, half pay at best. I’ve also never seen more racism in a company in my life. The higher management team are cut throat liars and do not care about your well being.
