What is the salary like at LawnStarter?

At a time when finding a work-from-home job was incredibly difficult, LawnStarter came through and gave me an opportunity I’ll always be grateful for. They welcomed me into a supportive, inclusive environment that genuinely values its employees. One thing I truly appreciate is how the company promotes good working conditions. They actually listen—employees are encouraged to share suggestions on how to improve the job and make our workday easier. It's not just lip service; they take action based on our feedback. The pay is competitive, and even more importantly, the management team fosters a positive culture. If you make a mistake, you’re not judged or made to feel less—you're supported. They focus on helping you learn and grow from it, which really boosts confidence and motivation. As a person with a disability (PWD), I’ve also been given a fair chance to work and prove my worth—something not every company offers. LawnStarter has made me feel seen, capable, and appreciated. Overall, I’m proud to be a part of this company and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stable, respectful, and empowering remote work environment.

Only that we only have 8am-7pm CDT time for the schedule. But that isn't a big deal. We are rocking it.

Output-based with an incredibly flexible schedule. I get to work anytime as long as I complete 40 hours per week. The pay is more than decent and the work is not draining. A very laidback work environment with none of your bosses micro-managing you. As long as you provide quality work on time, they won't bother you. We only have weekly meetings that you may or may not attend (they understand that we have different time zones). Working for the company allowed me to travel to various destinations (local and international) because of the pay and flexibility.

I wish we had more career growth opportunities within the company. Yearly pay increase would be great too and additional benefits. But I can't really complain much because the pay and work environment makes up for it.

The company offers competitive salary at the beginning. But that's just it.

The company is bad at giving their employees a proper career path. Company doesn't even have HMO. They will replace you with AI even if you are working with them for almost 10 years. Once you are used. You will be discarded. They don't treat employees or FILIPINOS/South Africans/US as family. They only see us as contractors in this company. Once they've gained their wants. They will dispose you like a trash. For short I wouldn't recommend this company for long term. For short term? for sales? Sure but again if you are looking for a long term growth. This is not the company for you.

Work can get a bit monotonous. Very low raises They take advantage of international employees by paying very low salaries

It is well above minimum wage

You have to go through initial self interview before getting to talk to an actual recruiter

The salary is definitely competitive, but honestly, what stands out the most is the people. It's rare to find a company where everyone genuinely gets along, but at LawnStarter, it’s like one big family. No matter your role or position, you're treated with respect and valued for who you are. Here, it's not just about the work—you’re truly cared about. You’ll be asked how you're doing, and you’ll feel like you truly belong. It’s this supportive culture that makes LawnStarter such a special place to work.

There’s really only one I can think of: since we're all located in different parts of the world, we can't have in-person outings to bond over meals. It’s a small downside, but the strong virtual connections we build more than make up for it.
