What is the salary like at Florida State University?

I worked in a lab assisting students and maintaining equipment related to my area of study. It was generally easy work and offered the opportunity to interact with a lot of students.

Very low pay and no real opportunities for raises

Great benefits, decent pay, lots of PTO.

Don't expect to get paid according to National averages. Florida has a lower cost of living than many states and wages here reflect that.

Somewhat decent pay, and a lot of room for job/responsibility autonomy

No room for optimal growth and development. They will grow you into a hole if allowed.

The benefits for health insurance and retirement are excellent. PTO/sick time is also amazing

The pay is fairly low in comparison to the cost of living in Tallahassee, as well as FSU counting the ability to take classes that they would pay for as part of your salary. In reality if you don’t take classes I don’t think it’s fair to count it in your compensation package as I would much rather be paid more.

Everyone works together to help each other. Providers speak to staff as equals and not as though staff are beneath them. State benefits are great.

Understaffed but they are actively attempting to fix that and it is turning around. The pay is low and you won't see a pay raise.

a lot of people are nice. if you're a student worker, you just sit at a desk and computer for most of the day and don't have to do a lot of stuff. good place to get some homework done. good spot on campus

some people there are kinda rude, just ignore them. also minimum wage pay, but whatever a lot of places are. you also get to sit down and not do a lot of work so worth it
