What is working from home like at ENGIE?

      Pros

Hybrid flexibility was nice and had to go in 2 days during the week and the rest work from home.

      Cons

The company lacked a cohesive team culture, and individuals tended to operate in silos, with limited collaboration and shared goals among team members. Perhaps this was just my own personal experience and other teams don't work that way.

Hello, Thank you very much for your positive feedback and for your contribution over the past three years! We’re delighted to hear that you appreciate ENGIE’s professional work environment and flexible hybrid work policies — fostering a healthy and empowering workplace is a key commitment for us. You raised an important point regarding the absence of stock benefits. In response to this, we’d like to highlight that ENGIE is actively working to strengthen its employee shareholding program. In December 2023, the Group received the Grand Prix de l'Indice FAS-IAS for its employee share ownership initiative, LINK. The next plan is scheduled for 2024. This year, nearly 30,000 employees across 20 countries — representing 35% of eligible staff — requested to purchase ENGIE shares under preferential conditions. By the end of 2024, ENGIE employees will own close to 4% of the Group’s capital, reflecting our commitment to involving employees in the company’s long-term success. Thank you again for your input — we’re proud to have you with us on this journey toward a sustainable and inclusive energy future. Warm regards, The ENGIE HR Team

      Cons

People are not friendly, nobody acknowledges you as they walk past, boost wants to do their job and you constantly have to follow up, not enough desks for everyone, terrible location. No team engagement, treated like a number, don’t celebrate people’s achievements or even when they leave they don’t care and do nothing to farewell you - very weird bunch of people, never seen anything like it, the cons are endless….
