      Pros

Canva boasts a creative and dynamic environment where innovation is encouraged. The company offers excellent opportunities for personal and professional growth. Team spirit is high, and there is a genuine commitment to work-life balance.

      Cons

While the company culture is positive, there can be a high workload at times. Career progression paths are not always clear, and decision-making can be centralized, which may affect the speed of project execution.

      Business outlook

      Pros

Good for early career joiners, significant benefits compared to other local companies, fairly healthy overall team culture for day-to-day interactions, hybrid work options, overseas travel opportunities for some.

      Cons

      - Yes man leadership - Dissent is discouraged, fostering a "yes-man" culture in leadership. - Weak management - Many upper level leaders were promoted because of tenure and have significant lack experience or training in the area they were promoted to. Low to Mid-level managers are promoted without any managerial training and has led to mediocre or poor management. Managerial support and advocacy for employees is rare, with self-preservation seeming to take priority. - Limited career growth - Few opportunities for advancement or skill development due to way the team is structured. - Below-market pay - Salaries, especially for recent hires, are not competitive. - Inconsistent performance reviews - The evaluation system is vague and applied inconsistently, with little accountability. - Layoffs - Despite revenue gains and prior promises to never have layoffs, layoffs occurred without clear, transparent communication to the global team. Individuals are paying the price for a bloated headcount or business decisions that weren't their fault. - AI expectations - Employees are expected to increase output by 30% due to AI tools while seeing that people are being laid off.

      Treats you like a human

      Senior software engineer
      Former employee
      Wellington, Wellington
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

At every point in my short tenure there, I was treated like a human with a life that sometimes gets messy and requires an alternative working schedule, last minute days off, or medical treatment. Even in the end, with needing to escape a toxic home life, they helped me get home safely and not have to worry about my job, treating my like my own safety was more important. The culture is unmatched from my past experience. Everyone is friendly, lots of opportunities to make friends and form good working relationships. Pays great for the region.

      Cons

6 month probationary period was not disclosed to me until after I had joined the company. Probably just an oversight, but was a source of stress.

      Pros

A really supportive environment with great opportunities for growth and flexibility. Campus offices have everything you could possibly need too.

      Cons

It can be a bit challenging to navigate the large number of teams and departments when you first start, but support is readily available.

Great culture, talented people, and meaningful work, but growing pains come with scale

      Specialist operations
      Current employee
      Makati City
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

      - Strong company culture that genuinely values collaboration, kindness, and employee wellbeing. - Opportunity to work with highly talented and passionate people across different functions and regions. - Flexible work arrangements and good work-life balance compared to many companies in the industry. - Leadership encourages innovation and gives employees opportunities to contribute beyond their core role. - Competitive benefits, learning opportunities, and a mission that employees can be proud of. - Inclusive environment where different perspectives are welcomed and respected.

      Cons

      - As the company grows, processes and responsibilities can sometimes become unclear or change frequently. - Decision-making can occasionally feel slow due to the number of stakeholders involved. - Workloads may become heavy during periods of rapid growth, organizational changes, or major company initiatives. - Career progression can vary depending on team structure and available opportunities. - Communication between teams can sometimes be inconsistent, leading to duplicated effort or confusion.
